Leo Burnett boosts creative lineup in Singapore

LeoBurnett.jpgLeo Burnett Singapore has announced four new hires in the creative team including Steve Kyriakou, Senior Copywriter, Jae Soh, Senior Art Director, Colin Koh, Copywriter and Henry Soon, Digital Art Director.

“Steve, Jae, Henry and Collin are extremely talented individuals who bring passion and valuable experience to the team; more importantly, their personalities and creative styles are the right fit for the culture of Leo Burnett and the type of work we do which is driven by Humankind thinking,” said Group Executive Creative Director Chris Chiu. “I’m confident that they’ll hit the ground running and contribute to the momentum of success which has seen the agency grow by over 50% in the past year.”

Most recently from McCann Erickson Singapore, Kyriakou is an award-winning creative with work recognized by the One Show, Cannes, AdFest, Spikes Asia and others. He started his advertising career in Toronto with Sharpe Blackmore Euro RSCG and relocated to Singapore in 2007 to join Euro RSCG where he played a key part in the agency’s surge up the Creative Agencies Ranking Table. Prior to working in Singapore, he was also with GRIP and Saatchi & Saatchi in Toronto. Kyriakou has worked on leading brands across categories including Volvo, DBS, Mastercard, Carlsberg, Coca Cola, Changi Airport and SaxoBank. Kyriakou reunites with Senior Art Director, Shawnn Lai, who joined the Leo Burnett Group last July.

Soh joined Leo Burnett from Saatchi & Saatchi Singapore where he worked on AWARE, ESPN, Guinness, Hewlett Packard, Lexus, Republic of Singapore Navy, Singapore Zoo and United Overseas Bank. In a short span of three years, his work for print, digital and direct marketing have been recognized for its creativity and effectiveness in top international and regional award shows including Gongs at the Creative Circle Awards, John Caples, Singapore Advertising Hall of Fame. His work has also been awarded at Cannes, D&AD, Clio, One Show, Young Guns, AWARD, Spikes Asia, AdFest, to name a few.

Koh started his career in TBWA\Tequila before moving on to McCann Erickson. Working on clients including Nokia, AIA, MasterCard, L’Oreal Paris, Maybank and KFC, Koh had also worked on global campaigns for Singapore Airlines at TBWA\Tequila and was a part of the team that helped to win the global pitch for Holiday Inn while at McCann Erickson.

Soon joins Leo Burnett from Yolk Singapore. With five years of experience in the business, he has handled work for Canon, Microsoft MSN (regional), Kaplan, DIGI Malaysia, Twilight’s China Official Launch, amongst others. Soon’s work had been recognized at award shows including Asia Interactive Awards and Singapore Design Awards.
