Elvis Sequeira steps into the National Creative Director role with Cheil Worldwide SW Asia

ELVIS SEQUEIRA -NCD -CHEIL.jpgCheil Worldwide SW Asia has appointed Elvis Sequeira as National Creative Director of their India operation. Sequeira (left), currently a commercials director with Good Morning Films, has spent two decades in what he calls the business of fun, where he has worked on a multitude of brands that cut across diverse categories; starting from those that needed to be created, to those that were gigantic in scope and scale. 

His career began as a copy trainee with Clea, which was followed by brief stints at Mudra and Interact-Vision. Spotted by Lintas saw become the youngest creative head of agency’s 2nd largest business – Bajaj.  For seven years he worked on account the likes of Bajaj, Jet Airways, Johnson’s Baby, Shaw Wallace and ICICI-Prudential, after which he moved to Percept/H.

As National Creative Director at Percept/H, Sequeira not only created an agency culture and a creative reputation but also brought in 21 new businesses in a span of 18 months. hi next step was to JWT, Delhi as VP and ECD, heading businesses such as Hero Honda, Sony, Pepsi, Monster.com, and leading new business wins.

He will be reporting to Alok Agrawal, COO, Cheil Worldwide SW Asia. “Elvis is recognized for his zeal and lucidity in the delivery of compelling, consistent and cross-pollinating brand experiences. I see him uniquely positioned to take Cheil to the next level, empower our creative squad and continue to strengthen our unique Ideas Engineering process,” says Alok Agrawal.

Sequeira says, “I liked what Jae Kim said when we met, that he wanted Cheil to be an “idea heaven” over the next few years. It’s something I vibe with and I love the clarity of the vision. I know what a tremendous task Alok and his team have accomplished in creating, consolidating and getting Cheil to where it is today, so, in a way my job is to help evolve the agency, try new things.
