Recognition for “Pitch David Ogilvy” iPhone App
Ogilvy & Mather’s “Pitch David Ogilvy” iPhone App was FWA ‘Mobile of the Day’ on Friday. FWA stands for Favourite Website Awards, an industry internet award program and portal, established in May 2000. FWA is the most visited website award program in the history of the internet, with over 100 million site visits as of August 2010.
The “Pitch David Ogilvy” app was launched to continue the centennial celebration of Ogilvy & Mather founder David Ogilvy by inviting the public to pitch their “big ideas” to the iconic ad man himself.
Using the iPhone’s videoconference function, the free app allows users to have a direct Facetime conversation with a 3D David Ogilvy about their ideas. Through speech recognition technology, David Ogilvy will respond accordingly to the pitched idea with an encouragement or an honest and straightforward critique in his signature style.

Creepy and useless. But mostly creepy.
David looks like he’s been botoxed. Then again, have u seen the frozen grins on the PR shots coming out of that place? Creepy indeed.
