stuart_sml.jpgFormer Saatchi & Saatchi Singapore creative Stuart Harricks (left) has joined W+K Amsterdam as Creative Director. He leaves Y&R’s New York office, where he was Global CD for LG worldwide, LG US Mobile and the United States Olympic Committee, alongside another former Singapore creative Andrew McKechnie.

Recent work for LG included the award-winning ‘Something’s Lurking’ film, created with PSYOP New York. Before Y&R, Stuart served as an Integrated ACD at Modernista! Boston, where he helped integrate the agency’s above the line and digital creative across the Palm, Cadillac and National Parks Foundation accounts.

Spending four years at Saatchi & Saatchi Singapore before moving to the US, Harricks’ awards helped contribute to Saatchi’s No.1 Agency ranking in the 2008 Campaign Brief Asia Creative Rankings and his No.12 position overall in the individual creatives ranking.

“It’s a great time to be joining W+K Amsterdam, as they’ve created some of the most inspiring work of late,” said Harricks. “It’s a place with such a unique culture of mixing skills and personalities, and I’m just excited to be a part of it all.”

At W+K Harricks will be working with new partner Creative Director Edu Pou.

sia_sml.jpgAnother arrival to W+K is 24 year old Siavosh Zabeti (left). After graduating from the Miami Ad School in Hamburg, he received the ADC’s Student of the Year Award. In 2007 Siavosh joined DDB Paris and created a diverse body of work for the agency: a billboard powered by oranges for Tropicana, a full-scale Wii video game for Henkel, a 15 minute interactive Anime for an anti-smoking campaign, and a book of Facebook memories for French mobile provider Bouygues, just to name a few. During his four years at DDB he won 4 Cannes Lions, a ONE Show Pencil, 2 WEBBY awards, several Young Guns awards, and 2 D&AD nominations.  In 2011 Creativity & Advertising Age magazine listed Siavosh amongst its “Creatives to Know”.

W+K Amsterdam Executive Creative Directors Mark Bernath and Eric Quennoy said: “Both these guys are brilliant non-traditional thinkers. Sia is our first hire to successfully power a billboard using oranges, and Stuart’s extensive international experience will make him a great complement to the creative leadership of the agency. What’s more, both of them have exceptional hair.”
