Saatchi’s elevate Guy Winston into executive creative director role on P&G in China
Guy Winston has been promoted into a newly created Executive Creative Director role for Procter & Gamble (P&G) in China. In this role Winston (left) will lead the creative teams for all P&G brands under the stewardship of Saatchi & Saatchi in China including Olay, Pampers, Head & Shoulders, Crest, Ariel and Safeguard. Saatchi & Saatchi has the majority of creative duties for P&G brands in China.
Winston was most recently the Saatchi & Saatchi Regional Creative Director for Pampers – in this new role he will continue to be based in Hong Kong. Winston joined Saatchi & Saatchi in 2011 and has over 30 years of experience in 5 major markets on 4 continents. Prior to joining Saatchi & Saatchi Winston was the Regional Creative Director at JWT for Ford across Asia Pacific and Africa.
Justin Billingsley, Regional CEO and Chairman of Saatchi & Saatchi Greater China said: “China is our global priority. China is P&G’s global priority. We have enjoyed a very strong year in 2011 creatively on P&G – with the ‘Big Stain’ work for Ariel winning 2 Cannes Lions and the Grand Prix at both the Longxi and Great Wall awards in China. We can always do better and this appointment is about raising the bar. Guy is an undisputedly great creative, but more importantly is a great leader of creatives.”
Winston said: “I’m really excited about this challenge. Executing effective creative on these brands is a unique opportunity, with the need for leading edge creativity for the brands to connect in Tier 1 China plus a range of other communications to work across all the other tiers. And with the shift towards more integrated digital work, we need to continue to develop our capability so that P&G keeps up their growth.”
