International executive producer Darcey Cherubini set to return home to Australia

darcey1.jpgWell-known international executive producer Darcey Cherubini, who had worked in Asia during her career, is relocating from South America to Australasia due to the impending political strife in Argentina.

Recently implemented national government policies mean Argentina can no longer maintain it’s longheld premier position as the filming centre for the continent.

Before moving to Argentina to work as an international executive producer in the production services sector, Cherubini had spent many years as a senior agency producer in several key markets, including over 10 years in the USA, most notably as global executive producer/co-director of production and then as integrated director of production at JWT, New York.

Prior to the USA, she worked in several  Asian posts as director of production including  BBH AsiaPac and Batey Ads in Singapore and BBDO, Hong Kong.

Cherubini’s agency career began when she was commissioned to create and develop screen production at fledgeling OMON, Sydney. Apart from significant agency positions, she has solid production experience in filmmaking from the feature film, documentary and commercial production company sectors as well as having spent time as a senior vfx producer at Animal Logic, Sydney.

Recipient of many creative awards and long associated with significant business wins, in 2006 Cherubini  was recognized by her international industry peers as winner of the Boards Magazine ‘Advertising Woman of Excellence Award’.

For family reasons she chooses to return to Australia at this time – not the USA or Asian markets – and the production community will be watching to see which area of the business this exceptionally well-regarded producer supports next.
