iris India appoints seventeen year veteran Anirban Sen as its new creative director
iris India has appointed award-winning creative Anirban Sen as its new creative director. Sen’s 17-year career in advertising spans agencies such as TBWA, McCann Erickson, Grey, Lowe and Saatchi & Saatchi. Sen will join this month and will report in to the agency’s managing director Ashish Mathur. He will join iris’ strong regional line-up of creative talent and will work on clients such as Sony Mobile, Coca-Cola, Shell, Dell, Alere among others.
The news comes as iris announces it has picked up the prestigious Alere account. The win will see iris handle all ATL and BTL services including digital for the launch of the healthcare provider in India. Alere will launch two services in India: Alere Mind and Body and Alere Centre for Care.
Ashish Mathur, Managing Director of iris India (pictured) said, “An effective creative product is what iris believes in. It is great to have Anirban on board to uphold this high standard and it is testament to the strength of the iris brand across Asia that we are attracting the highest levels of talent like this.”
Grant Hunter, Regional Creative Director for Asia Pacific, iris Worldwide, said: “India is an incredibly dynamic and important market for us. Having Ban onboard will help us realise our ambition to create Extraordinary Ideas for clients across India. I’m looking forward to working with Ban as we push our creative output to new heights.”
Sen said “iris has a great reputation in Asia and I was passionate about joining. It will be great to work for a company that combines the same kind of creative curiosity I have with strategic intelligence. They have a great portfolio of brands and internationally they are pioneering some incredibly mind-blowing stuff in the integrated domain. That’s where the future lies and I want to be there.”
In 2010, Sen’s creative ranking was no 19 in India*. During his career, he has worked on memorable campaigns for brands such as Hyundai, Samsung, General Motors and one of iris’ clients Coca-Cola. He has picked up multiple national and international awards from many of the industry’s main benchmark awards Asia Pacific Adfest, Goafest and Cannes.
Sen joins from Law & Kenneth where he has been the Chief Creative Officer for its North and East offices since 2010. Prior to this, he had held the position of Executive Creative Director (North & East) at TBWA since 2007 and McCann Erickson since 2005.
