Publicis Dallas taps former Saatchi’s Asia talent Sean Boyle for director of strategic planning role
Publicis Dallas today announced the appointment of international talent Sean Boyle as executive vice president/director of strategic planning.
Boyle brings more than two decades of experience across large agencies in Asia, Australia, Ireland, and most recently, New York. He will report to CEO Sally Kennedy and will oversee the planning department of the growing office.
Boyle comes directly from BBDO New York, where he was global planning director. Prior to that, he led global planning at JWT, New York. Before moving to New York, Boyle spent a decade in the emerging markets of Asia-Pacific, where he worked as director of creative strategy & planning with Saatchi & Saatchi, Asia.
Boyle’s award-winning experience includes blue-chip brands Cadbury, Ford, Gillette, Guinness, Mercedes-Benz, Nestlé, P&G, Singapore Airlines, Sony, Toyota, and Unilever, among others.
“After an extensive global search, we found the ideal candidate in Sean. He brings world-class credentials and leadership to our Dallas team,” Kennedy said. “Sean’s a right-brain planner, bridging the gap between rigorous business strategy and creative expression. I know he will continue to propel the caliber of our work.”
An avid world traveler and writer, Boyle regularly contributes to industry media and conferences, engaging audiences with his point of view on prevailing issues and trends.
“I believe planning should be about simple, well-told stories in the service of inspiring magnificent creative work,” Boyle said. “This is a brand new challenge for me, in an agency with big creative ambitions. They are a team of really great people, which was a very important factor for me in determining my next move after New York.”
