DDB is tasked to develop the marketing publicity campaign, including family and community engagement through social media and content development, with a focus on making Dengue prevention a part of everyday life for Singaporeans. Against the backdrop of rising dengue cases in the first four months of this year, the need to step up the fight against dengue is now more crucial than ever.

David Tang, President and Chief Executive Officer of DDB Group Singapore (pictured left) said, “Dengue prevention is a key national agenda which DDB is keenly into the fight. It’s a formidable challenge that calls for pragmatic and ingenious ways to get every family and a nation into the act. I think that’s something we like to get into  – sensible yet surprisingly effective marketing.”

NEA awarded DDB the agreement through a competitive pitch process, which involved 12 creative and media agencies. All media planning duties will be handled by the agency’s media partner OMD.

The launch campaign is expected to roll out in June this year. This award win marks a return for DDB to work on the Dengue Prevention campaign as the agency worked on the account in 2007-2008.
