IreneLau_IKEA.jpgIKEA has appointed BBH Asia Pacific as the lead creative agency to run its full suite of integrated communications, including traditional advertising, digital, social, activation and in-store activities for Singapore and Malaysia. The account moves from Leo Burnett, who were only appointed to the account less than 12 months ago in June 2012, when they were successful over long term incumbent, Lowe. BBH has already begun work with a communication strategy across both countries, and a launch campaign due for August 2013.

Said John Hadfield, CEO, BBH Asia Pacific: “Everyone in our industry wants to work with IKEA. Now we’ve got what we hoped for, the pressure’s on us to deliver. We prefer it that way.”

Said Irene Lau, Regional Marketing Manager, Ikano Retail Asia (pictured above): “We are excited about this partnership with BBH to effectively deliver the IKEA brand promise across to customers and achieving our commercial goals for the new financial year.
