Gong CCA 2013 receives more than 730 entries

Gong Creative Circle Awards, Singapore’s only local awards for the creative communications industry, has this year received more than 730 entries which have been submitted into ten different award categories: Print, Outdoor & Poster, TV & Film, Design, Direct, Promo & Activation, Radio, Integrated, Digital, Entertainment & Branded Content, and records an increase of 15% over 2012.

The entries will be judged by ten juries, and leading the juries are some of the most prominent creatives in Singapore: Tay Guan Hin, Regional ECD & Global Creative Director, Lux of JWT; Ronald Ng, Chief Creative Officer of BBDO; Thomas Yang, Deputy Executive Creative Director of DDB Group Singapore; Terrence Tan, Founder & Chief Creative Officer of Ice Inc Design; Clarence Chiew, Creative Director of Iris Singapore; Melvyn Lim, Executive Creative Director of OgilvyOne Singapore; Deepika Nikhilender, Leader Business Planning of Mindshare Asia Pacific; and Roy Poh, Creative director of A Beautiful Design.

The judging is scheduled for next week and presided over by Joji Jacob (pictured), Gong CCA Chairman & Group Executive Creative Director of DDB Group Singapore; Ian Lew, Deputy Chairman (Craft) & Managing Director of Songzu; Thomas Yang, Deputy Executive Creative Director of DDB Group Singapore who will be joined by international judges: Matt Eastwood, Chief Creative Officer of DDB New York, John Merrifield, Chief creative Officer of Google Asia Pacific and Yang Yeo, China Chairman & North Asia ECD of JWT.

The winning work will inspire the creative community and drive the Singapore industry forward. The shortlist will be announced after judging ends on 23rd October 2013,, and winners revealed at the Gong CCA Awards Show on 19th November 2013.
