Victor Ng.jpgVictor Ng has resigned his Havas Worldwide Singapore Chief Creative Officer role and is leaving the agency to pursue his passion in social enterprise.

Juan Rocamora, Chairman of Havas Worldwide Asia-Pacific said: “Victor is a great talent, and I’m proud and happy of having brought him back to Havas after his time in Shanghai. I want to express my heartfelt thanks for his contribution to Havas having done two tours of duty with us. For both the periods, he has been a key member of our team and I for one do not write off the possibility of a third one in the future. I understand and respect his desire to, at a key time of his career, wanting to venture into the world of social enterprise and I am thankful he has made sure the agency is firing all cylinders before moving on. I wish Vic all success in his new endeavours and look forward to our next stint together, whenever and wherever it may be.”

Ng (pictured) said: “Those around me know I’ve always been a believer of creating positive social change. After two years of learning from Juan and working closely with several great management partners, I feel this is the right time to step out of my comfort zone to do something uniquely meaningful. Havas has a special place in my heart, and I’ll always be a friend and fan of those who have made my journey with them so memorable.”

Ng first joined the Havas Group in 2008, helping the then-Euro RSCG agency rise to prominence through a record pace of new business and award wins. The agency closed out 2010 as Creative Agency Of The Year Southeast Asia and Ng was nominated for Creative Of The Year Southeast Asia. He then moved to Shanghai to join DDB before returning to Singapore and Euro RSCG (now Havas) in February 2012.

“This tenure has been deeply fulfilling in its own way. While the agency has no shortage of highlights, my biggest satisfaction this time round has come from our clients and creative teams. I’m very thankful to our clients from iconic Singapore brands such as FairPrice and Far East Organization for their trust over the years,” Ng added. “I’ve also been blessed to have some of the most talented and nicest creatives to build a department around. I’m just the conductor with the floppy hair and baton, moving in musical spasms, while they are the true musicians with talent, dedication and teamwork. They are the ones who should take a bow.”

Under Ng’s creative leadership, Havas Worldwide Singapore successfully defended the agency’s largest account, NTUC FairPrice, in a competitive pitch last year. His teams’ creative accolades include Communication Arts, Australasian AWARD, New York Festivals, Spikes Asia, Golden Montreux, Cresta, Adstars, Singapore Creative Circle Awards and Creative Business Ideas Awards. Last year, Ng was named again as one of Singapore’s Most Influential Creative Directors.

Ng will be helping the agency during its transition to new creative leadership to support the newly launched Havas Village, which brings new levels of collaboration between creative, media, digital and PR capabilities to clients, merging specialist disciplines into one offering under one roof.
