Raylin Valles trades his McCann India ECD role to move into film making with 10 Films
Highly awarded McCann India Executive Creative Director Raylin Valles has resigned to pursue his passion in film making. He is joining up with Shouvik Basu at 10 Films.
Valles (left) is well traveled in his career having worked in New Zealand, Thailand and Malaysia before returning back to India.
“I have had my best times working in agencies and have meet some of the craziest people there. I have also been extremely fortunate to have worked with some of the best creative minds in the industry namely – Prasoon Joshi, Sonal Dabral, Bobby Powar, Emmanuel Upputuru, Ronald Ng/ MUN and Andy Dilallo/Jay Benjamin,” said Valles.
His work on clients such as Pepsi, VW, HP, Philips, Olympus, Perfetti to name a few, have won him accolades in awards shows which include D&AD, Cannes, One Show, Clio, Spikes and AdFest over past several years. His last win was at Spikes this year where he and his team took home the Grand Prix for Design.
Valles is very excited over his move into film and feels that with his agency background, he can bring a lot more to the script while delivering the idea.
“I also feel that there is a massive scope in making commercials in India a little more edgy and giving them a fresh look to make them memorable,” he said.
Says his partner Shouvik Basu: “Raylin is a rare breed artist and one of the funniest guys I know. Can’t wait to create magic with him!”
