nudeJEH Bangkok recruits a Knight as ECD
nudeJEH Thailand are marching their ‘Fearless Army’ forward by recruiting Asawin Phanichwatana (Asawin means ‘Knight’ in Thai) as Executive Creative Director, where he is reunited with his long time mentor, Jureeporn Thaidumrong, since their days at Saatchi & Saatchi Thailand (2002-2004).
He joins nudeJEH with a wealth of experience over fifteen years across Bangkok and Hong Kong. Phanichwatana (pictured left) moved from J-Connect/JWT Bangkok and prior to that, he has worked at various leading agencies in Hong Kong, including Ogilvy & Mather, Leo Burnett and at DDB as Head of Art.
Phanichwatana is well known for his skills in ‘Hunting Lions’ (11 Cannes Lions) and he has been recognized at numerous international and local awards shows, with over 170 medals in total. Some works that made his reputation include Nature Guard – Shieldtox, Westone, Glad, McDonalds, Catepillar – Unif Green Tea, Western Union and Hong Kong Disneyland, just to name a few.
He has also been honored by being named the Grand Jury for New York Advertising Festivals and Cresta International Advertising Awards.
Thaidumrong, nudeJEH Creative Chairwoman said, “I used to work with Asawin thirteen years ago at Saatchi & Saatchi Thailand. He was an important part of the team that produced significant works and won many medals while Saatchi became Agency of the Year in 2003. After that he went to work abroad in Hong Kong to seek out new experiences, especially in the digital field for years before he came back to Thailand.
His rich experience will make an incredible addition for us to excel in the industry that’s changing from traditional media to new age media, like digital. I believe that he will work well alongside Andrew Chu who joined us earlier this year from Clemenger BBDO to produce outstanding and ground-breaking creative work for nudeJEH.”
