Publicis JimenezBasic wins the first ever Kidlat 2015 E. Zobel Diwa Award in the Philippines
Out of 48 ideas, Publicis JimenezBasic’s Art Lottery authored by associate creative directors creative Raymund Sison (pictured left) and Ryder Aquino (right) took home the very first E. Zobel Diwa trophy at the recent Kidlat Awards in Boracay, Philippines.
Miss Dedes Zobel awarded the team herself with a trophy and $10,000 to make their idea a reality – an idea that aims to encourage Filipinos to be more conscious of the art around them, using art as a ticket to a fortune.
“I am very happy that a platform for creativity that helps solve important issues in the society has been created by the Creative Guild,” says Sison. “I am even happier that this year, the issue is something I myself am very passionate about.”
Aquino added, “I think Art Lottery will help in making more Filipinos conscious of different forms of art – from literature, dance, visual arts, theater, film, and music. Art consciousness, I think, is the first step towards art appreciation.”
“Thank you to our ECDs Trixie Diyco and Brandie Tan and the esteemed panel of judges for believing in this idea and for pushing it to the best it can be. We can’t wait to make this idea happen,” said the duo from PJB.
Kidlat Awards is the toughest, most prestigious creative show in the Philippines. As part of Kidlat Awards, the E. Zobel Diwa Award aims to gather the best ideas from the country’s top creative talents to solve important issues in the country. The award is named after the late businessman and philanthropist, Enrique Jacobo Emilio Olgado Zobel.
