Ogilvy Malaysia promotes Doneven Chew + Choo Chee Wee and adds creative hire Valerie Chen
Ogilvy & Mather Kuala Lumpur has promoted Doneven Chew and Choo Chee Wee to Deputy Executive Creative Director and Creative Director respectively. In addition to that, the agency has hired CRM/Direct Marketing expert, Valerie Chen as Creative Director for Ogilvy One.
Chew, who has played an instrumental role for his work with Nestle and Metlife was previously Creative Director, a role he has held since 2011. In his new capacity, Chew will spearhead an integrated team to provide a more holistic approach to the business and thereby enhancing client revenue streams and customer engagement.
Choo takes on the role of the new Creative Director for Ogilvy & Mather Advertising and brings 15 years of experience from various markets including Singapore, Malaysia, Doha and China. He has fronted several accounts, among them Pizza Hut, BMW, Coke and Cadbury and recently walked away with a Bronze award at the recent Cannes Festival for Pizza Hut’s “Behind the Box” outdoor campaign. As the new Creative Director, Choo will be responsible for Pizza Hut, BMW and Coke.

Chen joins Ogilvy & Mather to take up the role of Creative Director for Social and Customer Relationship Management. With over 20 years of experience under her belt, Chen is no stranger to the industry and Ogilvy, having spent over a decade with the agency before expanding her wings to lead the Customer Relationship Management team at Arc Worldwide/Leo Burnett.
Chen has also been accorded a recognition by Won Reports for having the most number of work ranked in the World’s Top 10 Direct Marketing Campaigns for 2006.
