Break Up.jpgSince the flourish of online marketing, it is becoming rarer to see a viral video that generates more than a million views overnight. But all hope is not lost because the latest work from GREYnJ United Thailand proves that an internet film that tells a simple story can still win hearts (and shares, likes, reaches, etc.)

Break up 2.jpgAs the product is a snack for young adults, the campaign was crafted to conquer their hearts from the start. So instead of creating a commercial, a short film was written based on a simple insight: “Old habits die hard.”

We know that it’s hard to break up with something, especially something you like. But sometimes, it’s important to do so in order to live a better life. And that’s exactly what Nautilus was aiming for.

Since Tuna Spread represents a healthy alternative for snacks, Nautilus urges Thais to break up with their routines, such as eating unhealthy food. The team chose this topic and created a film about breaking up.

Break up 3.jpgThe film was strategically launched during Valentine’s Day period to stand out from the clutter of the other brands’ messages of love. Moreover, a well-known feature film director/screenwriter was commissioned and his huge fan base was leveraged in social media platforms.

The combination of elements in the film such as the lovable characters, the use of 90’s ballad karaoke, and the truthful portrayal of first jobbers also played a part in the film’s success – achieving over 1 million views within 24 hours on Facebook alone.
