Innocean Worldwide India lures SM Talha Nazim out of Ogilvy to fill executive creative director role
Innocean Worldwide India has lured SM Talha Nazim from Ogilvy & Mather to take up the role of Senior Executive Creative Director, based in Delhi.
Nazim (left) accepted the role in April but has been working out his notice with Ogilvy, where he was a Senior Creative Director. He will report to Innocean Worldwide’s Global Chief Creative Officer Jeremy Craigen and will join the Innocean Worldwide global creative council.
Nazim’s career has seen him work at Leo Burnett, Bates, McCann and Ogilvy & Mather.
Since Craigen has joined Innocean the emphasis is on upping the ante on the creative product has been a priority, and India is seen as a very important market.
With a stellar career spanning 21 years at Leo Burnett, Bates, McCann and Ogilvy and having worked in Kolkata, Delhi, Bengaluru, Kuala Lumpur & Mumbai, Nazim has worked on brands like McDonalds, Dutch Lady, Siemens, JSW, Exide, General Motors, Fiat, Asian Paints, Reebok, Penguin, Coca Cola and Philips, among others.
This has resulted in over 180 metals and nominations in international and domestic award shows at most major shows such as Cannes, D&AD, The One Show, Clio, LIA, Andys, Adfest, Spikes, NY Festivals, Kyoorius & Abbys. The Gunn Report listed his work as one of the most awarded pieces in 2004 & 2013. In 2006, he was ranked among the top 10 creatives in India in our Campaign Brief Asia Creative Rankings. In 2014, The One Show ranked him No.2 as a creative director, No.6 as a writer. His Penguin Author Audiobook campaign which he did with his ex-art partner Rohit Devgun is India’s most awarded campaign internationally yet.

Nazim said: “Working on brand Hyundai is a huge incentive. It allows me to work on the most promising brand in the promising automobile market. Then, the opportunity to work with Jeremy Craigen (global CCO, Innocean Worldwide) was another reason I joined the agency. Talking to him, and learning plans about India, was very interesting.” He added, “My philosophy is ‘Work heart, play heart and find the pearls from the ocean’. It is about having fun and bringing great work. We want to make Innocean into a strong creative agency.”
In his spare time Talha pursues collecting the ‘new’ which has recently resulted in him teaming up with a friend, Nasheet Shadani, to conceptualize an Urdu book for beginners that’ll be launched shortly.
