Judging for Asia-Pacific Tambuli Awards kicks off in Manila: Winners to be awarded tomorrow

The judging of the Asia-Pacific Tambuli Awards is underway in Manila, with the gala awards presentation night to be held tomorrow.

The awards recognise and honour human good in mainstream brand advertising. Tambuli is not an award on charity, advocacy, pro bono, or CSR advertising. The focus is on mainstream brand campaigns that celebrate humanity, inspire purpose, and deliver effective results.

The awards began in Manila in 2005, and opened up to the Asia Pacific region in 2012.

This year’s overall jury president is Cheil Worldwide Global Chief Creative Officer, Malcolm Poynton. He will chair the Executive Jury when it sits later this afternoon.

This morning’s judging of the creative categories is chaired by Melvin Mangada, Chief Creative Officer of TBWA\Santiago Mangada Puno. On the jury with him are Pat Baron (McCann Australia), Chris Chiu (DDB Singapore), Merlee Jayme (Dentsu JaymeSyfu Philippines), Leigh Reyes (Mullen Lowe Philippines), Andy Flemming (M&C Saatchi Australia), Federico Fanti (BBDO Guerrero Philippines), Chad Mackensie (Grey Australia), and Brandie Tan (JWT Philippines).
