Designedto recognise and promote exceptional new commercial directors in theAsia Pacific Region, the Kodak/AWARD New Director Of The Year willhonor outstanding commercial directors whose fresh thinking andcreativity sets them apart from the rest.

Eligibility

Category A

• Current commercialdirectors, who have only been in the commercial production field for amaximum of two years. You are eligible if you have been directing othermaterial previous to your commercial work.

Category B

• Currently enrolled in a full time film-training program.

• Graduated from a full time film-training program within the last 12 months of the competition closing date (31st July 2009).

Adistinguished panel of international directors and creative directorswill judge the entries and finalists will be showcased at a special NewDirectors’ event held 9th September.

The winning currentcommercial director will be awarded a prize of 10 x 400′ loads of 35mmKodak Motion Picture Film valued at approximately AUD4,000.00. And thewinning film school student or recent graduate will be awarded 5 x 400’loads of 16mm KODAK Motion Picture film valued at approximatelyAUD1,300.00

The winner will also be recognised at the AWARDPresentation Evening to be held in November 2009 and attended by up to800 of the finest industry members from the region.
