Leo Burnett Hong Kong wins Grand Kam Fan

Leo Burnett Hong Kong walked off with the top award at this year’s HK4A’s Kam Fan Awards on Friday night at the gala awards presentation. The agency picked up the Grand Kam Fan for a beautifully art-directed print campaign of three executions titled “Sweat” for Life Yoga.

The campaign promotes the fact that hot yoga can burn fat moreeffectively through heavy sweating, so as to draw more beauty-consciouspeople to practice hot yoga. It was also the Print Kam Fan.

JetLi.jpgThere were only two other Kam Fan awards handed out – the Interactive/Direct went to McCann Worldgroup for Jet Li’s One Foundationand the Media Kam Fan also went to McCann for the Coca-Cola ‘Whistling’campaign. A total of 10 Gold, 22 Silver and 50 Bronze Kam Fan Awardswere also presented.

Leo Burnett’s triumph as the Grand Kam Fanwinner ended McCann Worldgroup’s three year in a row hold on winningthis ‘Grand Prix’ award.

This was a very special year to the HK4As as its flagship Kam FanAwards celebrated it’s 25th anniversary. The HK4As Kam Fan Awards hasbeen organized by the HK4As every year since 1984, and aims torecognize the best works in the market. The show is highly regarded inthe market and seen as the “Grand Prix” accolade by many in the HongKong industry.

The theme for this year’s Kam Fan Awards was “Letothers let others know”, as the HK4As wants this message of creativityto be propagated by word of mouth and become a social topic. Thepresentation was held at the HK Exhibition & Convention Centre andattended by guests, clients, sponsors, business associates andcelebrities.

This year the Kam Fan was made even more specialwith the announcement of a sponsorship from the Create Hong Kong of theCommerce and Economic Development Bureau that sees Kam Fan winnerssponsored to attend the International Cannes Advertising Festival inFrance, D&AD in the UK and Spikes Asia in Singapore.
