There are a few beautiful pics from Wayne Maule’s memorial on Phuket. The Thailand-based Australian director died in a motorcycle accident late last month. Ingrid Truelove, a close friend of Wayne’s, sent in these photographs. “It was a truely beautiful day, with blessings and divine chantings from the Monks at the crematorium, a gorgeous afternoon spent in the sun at Taste on Surin Beach, and ending at sunset scattering flowers and Wayne’s ashes over the waves,” said Truelove.

Wayne and I worked together in Auckland N.Z. In the early 1970s. It was in the studio of E . S. and A . Robinsons. We became good pals and he followed me back to the U.K. He stayed with us for a while when we lived in York. Years later my son Julian stayed with Wayne when he was living in Sydney. Julian was at university in the U.K. at the time. He vividly remembers Wayne on his moter bike giving him a lift, riding in between the cones on the road across Sydney harbour bridge! We still remember him, and always will.
