Bill Chan to ECD at Ogilvy Beijing
Bill Chan is joining Ogilvy Advertising Beijing as Executive Creative Director effective February 1. A native of Hong Kong, Chan is a celebrated creative professional with more than nine years of experience in the mainland China market, most recently as ECD of McCann Erickson Beijing. In his early career, Chan was a copywriter in Hong Kong for nearly a decade before he moved to Shanghai with JWT where he led the creative department from 2000-2006. Over the years his worked has been recognized by a number of global, regional and local awards including Cannes, Clio, One Show, D&AD, AdFest, HK 4As Kam Fan Award, Media awards, Grand Prix at the China National Advertising Awards and numerous others.
To lead the Beijing Agency’s business and grow its creative reputation, Chan will partner with and report to Raymond Tao, President of Ogilvy Advertising in China, and Eugene Cheong, Regional Executive Creative Director, Ogilvy & Mather Asia Pacific.

Speaking of his new position, Chan said he joined Ogilvy because he is inspired by the agency’s creative energy and atmosphere and is eager to tackle a new professional challenge.
