Mark Ingrouille appointed CEO Publicis Thailand & Asia Pacific director of business development
Ron Webb the current CEO of Publicis Thailand is to retire from the agency and his role will be taken up by Mark Ingrouille (pictured left) the former CEO of McCann Thailand and until recently the Area Director of South East Asia for McCann.
Publicis Worldwide COO Richard Pinder said: “Ron has had a distinguished career with us and has very effectively managed the Thailand operation through all the ups and downs in the market. He is leaving an excellent legacy and we are excited to have attracted a person of Mark Ingrouille’s calibre to replace him, as well as to strengthen our regional management team”.
Said Kevin Ramsey, CEO of Publicis Asia Pacific: “I have worked closelywith Mark in the past and when he became available jumped at the chanceto get him. He is one of the great personalities in our industry in theregion. He is a strong strategist, is committed to creative excellence,and as a result he built McCann Thailand into a powerhouse in themarket. The number one agency and a model for big ideas development andtotal communications delivery. We expect him to do no less forPublicis. He has also been very successful in leveraging hispersonality and abilities to drive new business and a new image for theagencies he has worked for. In his business development role he willinitially be tasked with increasing the overall level of new businessactivity for Publicis, in particular with regional clients, andimproving the profile of the Agency. As well he will work with me onexpanding our communications capabilities and geographical footprint”.
Mark Ingrouille said: “It’s great to be based back in my Bangkok.Everyone knows how I love the city and the country. But moreimportantly, when I looked at the Publicis offering, the Publicisdifference, that got me really excited. If ever there is a networkready to take-off in the region it’s Publicis. Ron Webb said: “After 37 years in this business, most of it in Asia, Ithink it’s time to let go. My career in advertising has been a trulywonderful ride and I have been lucky to work with some unbelievablytalented people around the world. Mark is a great choice to take overthe running of Publicis Thailand. He has extensive experience in thiscountry which is going through a very tough time right now”.
