Ad Stars 2010 entries up 70%

The Ad Stars 2010 Festival, held each year in Busan Korea, has attracted entries from 41 countries to reach a milestone of 5,437 entries. This year there are 97% more overseas entries and 69% more entries overall. Last year Ad Stars received a total of 3,258 entries from 38 countries. Craft, Ad Star’s newly introduced category for this year, has received 521 entries, 9.6% of the total number of entries. Ad Stars also has a General Public category and the number of entries submitted to this has increased 46% from 555 to 812.

“I did not expect that the entry volume could increase this much but I think this is proof that we are gaining more interest and expectation from around the world” said Eui-Ja Lee, chairperson of the Ad Stars Executive Committee. “As this ad festival will open in just one month’s time, the participation of countries from around the world will make it more fruitful and meaningful.”

Judging will take place in August and this year’s jury is headed by Suthisak Sucharittanonta, ECD at BBDO Bangkok.
