TBWA\Shanghai beefs up integrated team

TBWA\Shanghai is reinforcing its integrated account management, announcing two senior appointments effective immediately. Emiko Nagai, (far left) currently the General Manager at TBWA\Beijing, and responsible for key assignments such as Mars, Michelin and QQ, has been transferred to Shanghai. Nagai will manage the Nivea account across the Asia Pacific region as Regional Business Director. Additionally, Karyn Kuo (pictured right) has joined TBWA\Shanghai as Business Director to spearhead the development of a strong financial institution portfolio that includes TBWA global clients Visa and Standard Chartered Bank. Both Nagai and Kuo with report to Jeff Ma, Managing Director of TBWA\Shanghai.
Commenting on the new appointments, Ma said, “We have rebuilt the front bench in the last few months. Emiko’s position reflects the growing importance of Shanghai as the regional centre of excellence and Karyn’s position is totally new because we want to continue to build our expertise in the finance sector.”
Ma added, “All of our brand team leaders are accountable for growing digital and activation as well as advertising. We’ve staffed some teams with digital people to match the requirements as well as to facilitate the knowledge transfer. Emiko and Karyn will both drive significant growth in digital in their respective accounts.”
