Simon Canning reports in today’s Media section of the Australian that, despite the loss of two of its best-known clients in Australia, Ian Rowden (left), the regional chief executive and chairman of Saatchi & Saatchi, believes the agency is poised to benefit from the influence of markets such as China and India.

Rowden took regional control of the agency just over 18 months ago, installing John Foley as managing director of Sydney and the agency is continuing to retool under his leadership.

“China is a big influence on that but that has not diminished in any way the role or importance of a marketplace like Australia because in particular for a company like ours creativity is always going to be the currency,” says Rowden in the interview.
