TBWA\Asia Pacific to partner with Semi- Permanent for inaugural event in Hong Kong
TBWA\Asia Pacific has partnered with Semi-Permanent, the internationally acclaimed conference for creative people, to present a two day conference headlining twelve award winning speakers, including TBWA’s Creative-at-Large, John Merrifield.
These creative minds will come together to discuss their work, their lives and their philosophy on creating innovative and inspirational art and design.
Semi-Permanent Hong Kong 2011 is a two-day conference that will be held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre on Friday March 11 and Saturday March 12. The conference is surrounded by a festival atmosphere with inspiring activities and events in the week leading up to it that highlight the works of speakers and sponsors – including live art and exhibitions, outdoor madness, interactive competitions, installations, workshops and amazing parties. It cements March as the month of creativity in the city.
Early bird tickets for the event are now on sale through HK Ticketing .
Simon Velvin, global director of Semi-Permanent, said: “Semi-Permanent is now in its ninth year internationally, and we are excited to be brining the concept to Asia for the first time. Hong Kong is the obvious destination, being a city diverse in design and bustling with culture. We have had overwhelming support from the local community for Semi-Permanent, and are excited that the government, leading creative brands and industry associations are supporting our efforts.”
Mark Ringer, executive creative director of TBWA\TEQUILA\Hong Kong commented: “This is the perfect moment for Semi-Permanent to arrive in Hong Kong. When creative people come together, the atmosphere is provocative. For several days, Semi-Permanent Hong Kong will focus on pure creativity. For TBWA, being involved is the perfect cultural union.”
