JWT Singapore makes three significant hires across planning and creative departments

On the creative front, JWT has brought in Alan Leong as Singapore Associate Creative Director, responsible for EDB and HSBC accounts. Leong (pictured on left) is a local Singaporean with rich digital and interactive experience having worked on local, regional and global clients throughout his career. His experience has seen him hold posts at Arc Worldwide/Leo Burnett and most recently BBDO /Proximity Singapore where he was Digital Creative Group Head.

His work has been honored at numerous awards shows including One Show Interactive, Effies, Media Spikes and Creative Circle Awards, among others. At JWT, Leong will work closely in collaboration with XM to deliver fully integrated communication solutions for the agency’s clients.

Leong will report to Jun Fukawa, who has been elevated to the role of Chief Creative Officer, JWT Singapore and Valerie Cheng, ECD JWT/XM Singapore.

“Alan brings with him sharp knowledge of the digital space that will have us effectively forging together our digital and traditional capabilities,” stated Fukawa. “With our Planning and Creative teams strengthened, we are armed to deliver an unmatchable offering of creative excellence backed by smart strategic insight for all of our clients.”

In the planning department Michael Chadwick has joined as the office’s new Head of Planning. Chadwick (pictured right) was most recently with Publicis in London where he was a key player in the agency’s highly creative and effective work. At JWT, he will report to Pete Heskett, JWT’s South East Asia Planning Director and will be responsible for the quality of Planning of JWT Singapore, working closely with Heskett and Brian Dargen, Digital Head of Planning XM-Singapore on forging greater integration between XM and JWT Planning.

“Michael is a superb hire for us. His experience in London brings first class integrated Planning skills to the work he will do in Asia,” stated Heskett. “Michael is the type of Planner who combines the rigour and vision of great brand planning with the collaborative and non-partisan attitude needed for great communications planning.”

Mollie Hill joins JWT Singapore from the agency’s Sydney office to take on the role of Senior Planner. In this position, She will work on the office’s global client, Lux as well as local clients including Singapore EDB.

“Mollie is one of our young stars from an office that is currently producing some world-leading creativity,” stated Heskett. “We believe the Planner of the future is one who is thoroughly global in outlook. Giving people like Mollie the opportunity to build her skills across cultures is part of what makes being a Planner in our network such a great thing.”
