Robber’s Dog New Zealand director Sam Peacocke’s debut short film Manurewa has won a Crystal Bear for Best Short Film in the Generation Program at the 61st Berlin Film Festival.
The judges were impressed with the work saying: “in a very short time this film synthesizes and skillfully compresses independent storylines and characters, merging them together into a single, irrevocable, ever-changing moment.”
Manurewa tells the story of the tragic murder of Manurewa liquor store owner Navtej Singh.
