The Design Society creates limited edition t-shirts to raise funds for Japan disaster relief
In light of the recent earthquake and tsunami disaster that has devastated Japan, The Design Society has created 8 T-shirt designs to help raise funds for the victims of the disaster. Designed individually by The Design Society’s founding members – Chris Lee, Jackson Tan, Benjy Choo, Hanson Ho, Larry Peh, Roy Poh and Pann Lim – and guest designer Theseus Chan, all proceeds will go towards Japan’s disaster relief efforts through the Singapore Red Cross Society.
“We have created a series of thematic T-shirts that remind us of various aspects of the Japanese culture, and we hope to use design as our collective voice to reach out to the community to do their bit for a nation in need, regardless of their nationality and background,” said Chris Lee, President of The Design Society.
“I am very pleased to be involved with this initiative as a guest designer for The Design Society. We are confident that the designs will speak to the hearts of many global citizens out there to do their bit for this charitable cause,” added Theseus Chan, Designer of WERK
magazine.
