DDB Shanghai win Gold at ANDY Awards: Silver to Leo Burnett Hong Kong and Y&R Singapore
The 2011 International ANDY Awards last night announced this year’s winners at the Show & Party at The Times Center in New York City. 24 Seven, the talent recruitment firm for global brands and emerging companies,was the sponsor of the evening. The GRANDY, the ANDY’s top honor as Best in Show, went to Wieden + Kennedy Portland for its popular, social media campaign “Response” for Old Spice Premium Body Wash in the RESET category (which reflects unique, innovative work that redefines categorical description).
DDB China Group in Shanghai won one Gold ANDY, of the seven awards given the network, for its work for the China Environmental Protection Foundation (see above). Other regional winners are Leo Burnett Hong Kong, taking home one Silver for the Christina Noble Children’s Foundation and two Bronze for SUPOR, and Y&R Singapore receiving a Silver ANDY for The Mint Museum of Toys.

The agency networks that won the most 2011 ANDY awards are:
• Leo Burnett, with a total of 10 awards (1 Gold, 3 Silver and 6 Bronze) for Sydney, Hong Kong, Toronto, Istanbul, Buenos Aires and Madrid;
• Wieden + Kennedy, with a total of 8 awards (winning 6 Gold – the most of any agency – which also includes the GRANDY, and 2 Silver) for New York, Portland and Amsterdam;
• Y&R, also winning 8 awards (4 Gold, 2 Silver and 2 Bronze) for Paris, London, Santiago, Singapore, Johannesburg, and Brisbane;
• DDB, taking home 7 ANDYs (1 Gold, 3 Silver and 3 Bronze) for Shanghai, London, Stockholm, Paris and Sao Paulo;
• Publicis, Euro RSCG and Goodby Silverstein & Partners each winning a total of 4 awards. Publicis was awarded 1 Silver and 3 Bronze for Paris and Sydney; Euro RSCG took home 3 Gold and 1 Silver representing NY and Paris; and Goodby, based out of San Francisco, won 1 Silver and 3 Bronze.
Agencies in New York winning three ANDYs include R/GA (1 Gold, 1 Silver, 1 Bronze); @radical.media (3 Gold), and BBH NY (1 Silver and 2 Bronze). Saatchi & Saatchi, Droga 5 and Human, all in New York, and TBWA\Chiat\Day Los Angeles were each honored with two ANDY awards (one of Saatchi’s wins was The Richard T. O’Reilly Public Service Award).
