DDB hires new creative team in Hong Kong

DDB Hong Kong has announced it has hired Clifford Ng and May Wong as Creative Director and Group Creative Director, respectively. These hires reflect DDB’s ongoing commitment to maintain its position as one of the leading creative agencies in Hong Kong.
Jeffry Gamble, Executive Creative Director of DDB Hong Kong, said: “Over the past 12 months, we have had a year like no other. With accolades from all the major shows, including Spikes Asia, AdFest, Cannes, Kam Fan and MTR, we are in a position where we can hire good creative talent – which is hard to come by – so we are pleased that both Clifford and May have joined us.”
With years of experience working in leading 4A agencies such as Ogilvy & Mather, Leo Burnett and Foote Cone and Belding, Ng has created numerous successful campaigns for a wide spectrum of brands. Prior to joining DDB he was Creative Partner at Caffeine Company Limited. With close to 20 year of experience in communications, Ng has worked across many industries such as banking &, beverages, retail, FMCG and tourism. Clients includes: Standard Chartered Bank, San Miguel, LVMH Group, Park’ n Shop and Caltex.
His ‘Hong Kong – Live it, Love it!’ campaign for the Hong Kong Tourism Board in 2004, secured his position as a leading creative in the city’s industry winning worldwide acclaim at world leading travel and tourism advertising awards.
Wong joins DDB with numerous international and local accolades under her belt including New York Festivals, Spikes, AdFest, Hong Kong 4As, Long Xi and Apple Daily. Having worked in the industry since 1997, she has worked with global advertising agencies – Publicis, Ogilvy & Mather, Foote Cone and Belding, TBWA, and JWT. Former to joining DDB she was Creative Director at Publicis Hong Kong. With a breadth of experience crossing many industries, her client portfolio includes Mercedes Benz, Nestle, Sanofi, Pizza Hut, Samsung, Shangri-la, DBS, Coca-Cola and Procter & Gamble.
