Singapore’s first graphic design print exhibition

ihavearoomwitheverything.jpgI HAVE A ROOM WITH EVERYTHING will be the first graphic design exhibition in Singapore dedicated to the art of print.

The exhibition will feature over 200 items of rare and out of print materials carefully handpicked to pay homage to the print techniques and workmanship behind them. Magazines, catalogues, books, mailers and music albums by the most recognisable names in design will be on display.

These include works by Stefan Sagmeister, Why Not Associates, Asylum, WORK, Kinetic and H55. Some highlighted items include WERK, Guerillazines by Comme des Garcons, Club 21 and On Pedder catalogues, limited edition books by John Clang and fashion invites and lookbooks from Wunderkind and BLESS.

Inspired by the idea of a space overtaken by a library of rich and rare printed materials to illuminate a personal and intimate setting, we encourage visitors to feel at home by touching, smelling, exploring and interacting with the room and everything in it.

I HAVE A ROOM WITH EVERYTHING is curated by Yanda, author behind international design blog THE ARTIST AND HIS MODEL and presented by DO NOT DESIGN in collaboration with AlsoDoMinie, whose extensive and much-awarded portfolio will be presented to the public for the very first time. The exhibition is supported by The Design Society.

The exhibition will also be accompanied by an intimate dialogue session with industry professionals for students and young designers. Junny Saw (AlsoDoMinie) will be giving a walkthrough of AlsoDoMinie’s portfolio, and Yong (Somewhere Else/Asylum), Jonathan Yuen (Roots) and Yah-Leng Yu (ForeignPolicyDesign) will be sharing their invaluable insights and personal stories.

Exhibition runs from July 23 to August 5, 12pm to 7pm daily (Closed on Sundays)
