Cheil throw down the “Galaxy SII versus the World” challenge to Singaporeans
Cheil Singapore has created the “Galaxy SII versus the World” challenge which will see four Singaporean members of the “Test Force” given Samsung’s new Galaxy SII smartphone to complete a barrage of tasks submitted from the public via the microsite.
Cheil’s team, including Janice Koh, Head of Client Servicing, Aaron Gomez, Head of Interactive Digital and Melvyn Seet, Senior copywriter, created the interactive campaign.
“With so many new phones being released in the market with parity differences and “Me Too” marketing, we knew we couldn’t simply promote new features. Instead we had to nudge consumers beyond their comfort zone and truly engage with the GALAXY SII,” stated Koh. “By daring individuals to perform feats around Singapore, they will get first-hand experience with this best-in-class smartphone.”
Contestants may be asked to do anything from “Navigating Singapore with the Galaxy S II” to “Taking a picture of yourself on a rollercoaster and tweeting to your friends”. The public can also posts challenges for the “test force” via the microsite. Additionally, they can share their challenges thru Twitter and Facebook. Allan Wu, a local celebrity and host of the “Amazing Race Asia” will host the final challenge and award the winner $10,000.
