McCann Indonesia cement ties with Lafarge

McCann Worldgroup Indonesia has picked up the Lafarge Cement account after a multi-agency pitch. Lafarge is a world leader in building materials, employing over 19,000 people in APAC and quarrying and producing aggregates, gypsum and concrete across the region. The brief for McCann will be to create a clear identity and differentiation, in what is a very competitive marketplace, for the Lafarge Cement division based in Medan, North Sumatra.

Globally, Lafarge has two very clear strategic drivers of focusing on development in emerging markets in particular in the cement business, while accelerating innovation in sustainable construction and construction systems. The company was also the first industrial player to become a World Wildlife Fund for Nature (WWF) Conservation partner, illustrating their long term commitment to sustainability.
