XM Asia builds Singapore memories for the country’s 50th National Day in 2015
XM Asia, together with the National Library Board, has developed a unique online platform to collect and share memories in the lead up to Singapore’s 50th National Day in 2015.
To prepare to mark this milestone in Singapore’s history – the National Library Board (NLB) in conjunction with the Ministry of Communications, Arts and information (MICA) and the National Heritage Board (NHB) in March launched ‘Singapore Memory’ online with the aim of gathering 5 million memories by 2015.
The experience platform provides a dynamic online space for all Singaporeans to upload their personal memories and stories – clustered around themes such as ‘childhood’ or ‘neighbourhood’. Visitors to the website will also be able to browse all the memories uploaded, as well as read specially commissioned content from writers and students. The platform, which was designed by XM Asia, also contains social functionality – visitors will be able to comment on the memories shared by others and post content they like directly on to their social networks including Facebook.
