AdFest 2012: Dentsu Tokyo named Agency of the Year, DDB named Network of the Year
Dentsu Tokyo was crowned Agency of the Year and Clemenger BBDO, Melbourne was named Direct & Promo Agency of the Year at last night’s final awards of ADFEST 2012 in Pattaya, Thailand.
With a strong showing from Singapore, China and New Zealand, DDB was named Network of the Year. This is the second consecutive year DDB has won the award. The network finished with a final tally of 43 awards and 35 finalists.
John Zeigler, Chairman and CEO of DDB Group Asia Pacific, Japan and India, said, “The recognition we received at AdFest is phenomenal. Winning 43 medals is a record haul for us. That our medals are spread across many of our markets and across many categories also shows the breadth and depth of our network capabilities.”
Best in Show awards we given to DDB Auckland’s ‘Believe’ for Steinlager (Promo Lotus) and DDB China Group’s ‘The Keyboard of Isolation’ for Family Care for Grassroots Community (Outdoor Lotus).
Meanwhile, Gold awards were handed to DDB Auckland’s ’60 Things in 60 Seconds’ for MySKY (Film Lotus); DDB Mudra Group’s ‘Corruption’ for Rotary Club (Print Craft Lotus); and DDB Group Singapore’s ‘Tree Rings’ for Wildlife Presentation (Print Craft Lotus).
Interactive Agency of the Year was Hakuhodo Tokyo, Film Production Company of the Year was AOI Tokyo and Google was named Advertiser of the Year.
