Jeff Orr to step down at TBWA Malaysia with Sa’ad Hussein set to replace him as CCO
Sa’ad Hussein has been promoted to the position of Chief Creative Officer and Executive Director of the TBWA Group in Malaysia, including TBWA\Kuala Lumpur and Creative Juice\Kuala Lumpur. He will assume his new post on August 1, 2012, taking over from Jeff Orr who will step down in September but remain as a consultant to the TBWA Group in Malaysia and the Asia Pacific region.
Hussein (left) was most recently the Managing Director and Executive Creative Director of Creative Juice\Kuala Lumpur. He brings 24 years of advertising experience managing global brands such as Sony, Fuji Xerox, Nissan, Mandarin Oriental, Nando’s, Lam Soon, Mamee, Packet One and RHB. Hussein has won numerous creative awards including metal at Cannes Lions, One Show, London International and Spikes Asia.
Hussein pioneered the Creative Juice offering in Malaysia in 2007 and was instrumental in numerous award-winning, iconic campaigns for RHB, P1, Nissan and Nando’s. Under his leadership, Creative Juice\Kuala Lumpur’s business performance grew by 90% since inception.
Philip Brett, TBWA\Asia Pacific’s President of South and South East Asia, commented on the appointment, “We’re pushing the TBWA Group in Malaysia to the next level and we see Sa’ad as the right person to lead the next creative revolution. He has the right mix of creative passion and people skills to pave the way forward.”

Sa’ad is respected by serious clients and no slouch at creative awards either.
What many do not know is he is a Singaporean who worked his way to the top with real work.
And he is a damn nice guy to boot.
His many years away is Singapore’s loss.
Congrats Saad. I agree with the comments above. He is a true gentlemen and a great creative. All the best.
I Agree…
Sa’ad has been around Malaysia for the last 15 years or so and
been doing some very good work for Nando’s, Nissan and
their Sudah Potong P1 campaign. Definitely deserves
the promotion. Loved by all his creatives, servicing and clients.
Sure he will get TBWA to be better than what it is now
Jeff Orr is a terrific creative and am sorry to hear that he is ‘stepping down’. Did he ‘Step up’ or was he simply removed? He has contributed lots to KL’s creative growth.
