Vietnam celebrates 15 years of the Internet
To celebrate the 15th anniversary of Internet in Vietnam, an event was recently organised by the Vietnam Internet Association and sponsored by the new Vietnamese search portal Wada.vn.
Leo Burnett Vietnam’s Managing Director, Lukasz Roszczyc, was invited to address the attendees and share his experiences as one of Vietnam’s premier exponents of digital marketing.
Roszczyc challenged the audience with his presentation “Are you Ready?” showcasing a number of Leo Burnett’s digital cases and highlighting trends that are reshaping the world of communication and even business. Roszczyc spoke from firsthand experience gained in Vietnam, as well as during his two years in Silicon Valley.
Roszczyc said, “I felt the audience in Hanoi was “hungry” for the international experience we are bringing. Officials were passionate about the case we showed of the Australian Census Spotlight developed by Leo Burnett Sydney. And encouragingly, young talents are asking about careers in the agency of the future.”
Aigerim Zhangozina, COO of Wada.vn, presented the possibilities afforded by online advertising for small and medium enterprises in Vietnam and excited audience with the possibilities that a local search portal provide. “Our unique linguistic technologies make Wada the best in understanding the specifics of the Vietnamese language, and provide the most convenient tool to search for local content”.
Nguyen Viet The, Vice Chairman of Vietnam Internet Association concluded that “1 out of 3 Vietnamese use the internet, and today’s event brought a number of valuable insights that will help in developing the Vietnam digital space”
Other speakers included Opera Software and Vinalink, as well as government officials, the Vice Minister of Information and Communications and the Vice Chairman of the Association of Small and Medium Enterprises.
