AdFest’s Fabulous Four short film competition receives 29 entries from 10 cities

Twenty-nine up-and-coming directors from 10 cities in the region have

The highest number of scripts came from Dhaka in Bangladesh, where 13 directors are now in the running. Eight directors in Tokyo (Japan), and one director from Pathumthani, Melbourne, Hong Kong, Sydney, Seoul, Shanghai, Singapore and Manila have also submitted scripts.

“We’re delighted to announce that we received 29 scripts this year – five more than in 2012,” says Vinit Suraphongchai, Chairman of the AdFest Working Committee. “Fabulous Four is one of the only film competitions in the world that supports emerging directors and gives them a chance to shine before a global audience. We’re immensely proud of Fabulous Four, and wish this year’s 29 contenders the best of luck.”

All 29 scripts will be judged by this year’s Film Craft Lotus and New Director Jury, and in February the Fabulous Four 2013 will be unveiled. These lucky directors will have just one month to direct their short film, which will premiere on stage at AdFest on 19th March.

Each Fabulous Four director will receive complimentary airfare, accommodation and delegate passes to AdFest 2013.
