Lowe Malaysia take away cups for yogen fruz

Frozen yoghurt maker yogen früz opened its Malaysian flagship store to the public last November. They wanted a simple activation idea that would have people and media talking about it. Lowe Malaysia hit on the idea of using the hoarding around the part-constructed retail concession to create buzz around the product, even before the store had officially opened.

A message informed people that the store would only open when the all the cups were taken away. Each cup offered a 50% discount on any yogen fruz flavour, and prompted them to bring the cup back on the day of the opening.

They were rewarded appropriately with a whopping 50% discount, for taking the cups away and coming back with them. Given the huge success of this launch, yogen früz Malaysia is adopting this unique idea as part of their future outlet launches.
