Every year thousands of animals are killed for fashion.
This spot from Ogilvy & Mather Beijing asks you to take off your fur and put on your humanity for (PETA), People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals.

For the Chinese fashionistas or award judges?
The English supers are a dead giveaway.
The English supers are us, you big dummy.
There is no truth or insight in this ad. The entirely fantastical idea that anthropomorphized animals could wear human skins does not make me feel bad about wearing fur. Just as the knowledge that real animals would happily eat me if they could does not make me feel bad about eating them. Quite the opposite actually, it just makes me happy to be at the top of the food chain.
Then there is the fact the ‘Dumb Animals’ runway spot is one of the most famous anti-fur ads of all time, and even after 29 years still has the power to shock.

It’s as pointless and less powerful than what was done 29 years ago.
A bit like swapping Arnie for Colin.
