Created for the launch of a new toy brand –  their “Color the World” app has been in the news due to its innovative nature. The world’s first 3D colouring app, it turns an iPad into a 3D colouring book, complete with high-end animation and interactive story telling.

The app was recently singled out for praise at two major trade shows: CES and the American International Toy Fair.

“CES is the world’s largest consumer electronics show, and a huge number of apps were launched there, so it was encouraging that ours stood out,” said Kelly.

The same app also created a stir at last week’s American International Toy Fair, where over 100,000 new toys were launched.

The companion app to Color the World – an Augmented Reality (AR) game called Rainbow Racing – has recently been featured on ABC News amongst others.  This app lets kids race down AR rainbows, steering via the iPad’s built-in accelerometer.  Points are earned by collecting letters to spell out words, making the app educational as well as fun.

In addition, GKIM is developing a campaign of apps and content to support the global roll-out of the Drip Drops range of toys and merchandise.

GKIM is a digital ideas company that works with agencies, brands and inventors.
