The three-day event, themed “Asia Seeking Development for All: Restructuring, Responsibility & Cooperation,” commences on April 6 on the island of Boao, Hainan Province in southern China.

Scott Kronick, President of Ogilvy Public Relations, North Asia, said, “We are delighted to be

selected once again by the Boao Forum. This conference is influential throughout Asia and in

China, and we are honored to be in the center of influence, serving as their communications

partner.”

Ogilvy PR was chosen because of its successful cooperation in past Forums and experience in large scale event management in China. Leveraging the firm’s expertise in media relations and a

thorough knowledge of the media landscape, Ogilvy PR’s scope of work focuses on foreign media outreach and on-site media support. The Ogilvy team is also designing a closed-door meeting, titled “Media Leaders Roundtable: The China Story in 2013,” for the most influential Chinese and international journalists.

This year is the 12th anniversary of the Boao Forum for Asia. Chinese President Xi Jinping and

twelve heads of state have confirmed their attendance to the Forum.
