Virtual to reality, Intel debuts live global Ultrabook game via Party Tokyo for entrants from Taiwan, Korea, India, Indonesia, Philippines and Thailand
Could “name dropping” win you an Ultrabook? Yes, with Intel’s new ‘PUSH for Ultrabook’, an exciting and addictive interactive game devised by Party Tokyo. A game where real meets virtual and physical meets digital.
It’s a modern take of an old arcade classic – PUSH for Ultrabook utilizes alphabet blocks in lieu of coins. Each contender gets to play the game after logging in through Facebook or Twitter. The game begins with the entry of a robotic arm that drops all the letters contained in your name as blocks on to a stage which is constructed like a moving bed. The ultimate intent is to have the letter blocks push an Ultrabook off stage on to the winners lap. The winner can take it home and experience the power of the 4th generation core processor or the beauty of a tablet and PC in one device.
It’s the latest social marketing adventure which offers Facebook and Twitter users an exciting and engaging way to try to win the ultraportable, ultra powerful Ultrabook inspired by Intel.
The game is open to contestants from Taiwan, Korea, India, Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand, US, UK, and Singapore.
“PUSH for Ultrabook is a celebration of what’s possible with technology with a Intel twist that people have come to expect from Intel,” says Stephanie Gan, APAC Regional Manager for Advertising and Digital Programs, Intel. “There is something quite magical about being able to trigger a real machine located on the other side of the world, from your PC.”
Played in real-time, the game is filmed with various live cameras, and streamed online. Once players have registered and joined the queue, they can opt in to receive notifications sent through either their Facebook or Twitter account, which advise them when it’s their turn to play so they can tune in to see if they have won.
In addition to the alphabet blocks, extra blocks in the form of hearts, and smileys will be given out to the 100th, 200th and so on… participants at increments of 100, as well as matching multiples such as 111, 222, 333…to help increase players’ chances of winning. Furthermore, if a Facebook user plays PUSH for Ultrabook on their birthday, they will receive an additional ‘birthday cake’ block to help push the device over the edge.
