Home-Cemtre.jpgOgilvy India’s Mumbai office has won the creative duties for the retail giant ‘Home Centre’ in Middle East and North Africa. The appointment followed a multi-agency pitch that saw the participation of several creative agencies from India. Previously the creative duties were handled by a local agency in the UAE.

O&M will be working towards building a strong brand with a global voice that cuts across all markets in the Middle East and North Africa region.  This will require O&M to develop a 360 degree brand campaign.

Since 1995 Home Centre has been in the business of transforming ‘houses’ into ‘homes’. What started with a single store in Sharjah, UAE, is today the region’s preferred home shopping destination committed to delivering outstanding value, continuous innovation and exceptional customer experience.

A leading home retailer in the MENA region and India, Home Centre offers an extensive and impressive range of furniture, furnishings, home accessories, bed & bath range, kitchenware and gifting ideas to a wide spectrum of audience. With a wide network of over 80 stores Home Centre occupies more than 3 million sq. ft. of retail space. In 2013-14 the business is foraying into newer markets in the Levant region, North Africa and CIS countries. The brand is also planning to open 10 to 12 new stores, within the same period.

Navin Talreja, President O&M Mumbai & Kolkata: “We are delighted to have won the mandate to partner with Home Centre for the MENA region. This is a significant addition to our roster of international businesses and work that we do for Global Markets from Ogilvy Mumbai. Coming on the back of our global recognition as ‘Most Effective Agency Office Globally’ in the 2012 Effie Effectiveness Index, this truly fuels our ambition to become the agency office for the world.”
