Leo Burnett Malaysia launches FREELB inviting Malaysian businesses to submit to win a free brand campaign created by the agency
Leo Burnett Group Malaysia is giving Malaysian business owners an opportunity to win a brand campaign of international standard strategized and designed by the agency. The recently launched FREELB encourages companies and businesses to submit their most compelling and creative brief, to win RM100,000 worth of strategic and creative services to develop a campaign.
“We are inviting entrepreneurs or companies with HumanKind products or services to submit their pitch for a chance to work with Leo Burnett. The FREELB project is one way we are giving back to Malaysian brands, and in the process, continue to raise the standards of advertising in Malaysia.”” said Tan Kien Eng, CEO of Leo Burnett Malaysia (pictured above).
Leo Burnett’s creative approach stems from their core ‘HumanKind’ belief, an in-depth process of understanding people and the environment which then inspires work that strikes an emotional chord to change people’s behaviour. Based on the premise that “creativity has the power to change behavior”, it advocates creating acts, ideas and experiences that matter to people.
“At Leo Burnett, our creative success comes from our ability to put people first. In doing so, we are able to help brands unlock their true value by discovering their human purpose,” Tan explained. “We are looking forward to receiving a good number of creative brief submissions, as well as fostering long-term relationships with these companies who are keen and open to a different approach in achieving their business objectives,” stated Tan.
Open to all bona fide companies who are registered in Malaysia, this project offers a world class creative campaign to the winning company with no strings attached. Business owners can submit their proposal in written form or video.

I hate to be the suit who has to tell the client: We need to extend the deadline cause our creative department is too busy doing another ‘client’s’ work for free.”.
In the race to diminishing what little value clients are willing to pay, you guys win.
Leo must be turning in his grave.
He gave away free apples.
Not free work.
Giving away your most important and only product for free….how is this good business? Marketeers have a pretty low impression of ad agencies….now even that is gone.
Another brief to legalized scam. Great!
