Chipotle has launched a high production value animated mini film entitled ‘The Scarecrow’ crafted to promote Chipotle’s new app-based game via CAA Marketing New York. It’s the follow up to the Grand Prix winning spot at the Cannes Festival of Creativity.
The Scarecrow’ is the companion film for Chipotle’s new app-based game which pits you against the evil scarecrows of the fictitious unethical food company, Crow Foods. The short film features Fiona Apple’s cover of ‘Pure Imagination.’

Beautifully conceived and executed….my advance pick for a grand prix next year.
You can argue endlessly about whether the company is being sincere since a lot of their offerings allegedly are not 100% in sync with the philosophy their advertising espouses.
And it’s interesting to see that this lovely piece of comunication was not created by an ad agency.
