Cheil Worldwide’s ‘Bridge of Life’ shortlisted in Integrated at London International Awards
17 entries have made the cut – including one from Korea – at the shortlist stage of the Integrated category of this year’s 28th London International Awards, judging in Las Vegas.
Cheil Worldwide’s “Bridge of Life” for Samsung Life Insurance is the only Asian entry to make the shortlist. Australia has four shortlists including “Dumb Ways to Die” and the “100 Day Challenge” from McCann Melbourne. DDB New Zealand’s “Demand Equal Pay” is also shortlisted.
The jury, which was led by Amir Kassaei (left), Worldwide CEO of DDB Worldwide, included Jureeporn Thaidumrong Creative Chairwoman of nudeJEH Bangkok and Eugene Cheong Chief Creative Officer, Asia Pacific at Ogilvy & Mather Asia Pacific.
In an unprecedented move LIA has provided the 65’Creative Conversations’ attendees with a unique opportunity to sit in on the statue discussions in each of the judging rooms enabling them to witness the process in determining what separates good creative ideas from award winning ideas.
The ‘Creative Conversations’ programme was launched in 2012 as a way of giving back to the industry, targeted at young creatives from around the globe. LIA coordinates a week of educational and enriching seminars, lunches and dinners filled with stimulating discussions centred on the experiences and ideas of the speakers in their respective fields. The attendees are encouraged to drive the conversations using their own experiences or by asking questions that would take the conversations to another level.
This year a total of 15,881 entries from 77 countries were submitted for judging, a reflection of the truly international nature of the competition and of LIA’s steady growth over the past 28 years. Judging will be completed on Saturday (12th October) and all shortlisted work with full creative credits and media can be viewed on the LIA website from Wednesday 16th October. Winners will be announced on 4th November.
